hey people,,
I hereby share few things abot chalazions..those who are affected by it or wud like to knw abt it....r thos folks who got rid away of these chalazions can also share their views...First of all..i wud like to tell even i was affected by chalazions...

So i start with hw i experienced it..n what was my reactions to it??

it was straightly one year before...i felt something different in my right eye...duno how to xplain..but found bump kinda thing with red background ...i duno wen i got it..i asked my parents they quoted .."itz nothing itz burn due to heat..."

so i felt cool thinking it wud vanish within two days..
2 days bcame a week
week a month....
month an year..

it hardly affected my vision..it did none to my sights...but still i felt shy to carry over my eye..coz,,.. frnds,relatives,...evre1 who waved hi to me..defaulty their second sentence to me was..."hey wat happened to your right eye????"
i realli felt bad...really a strange question to answer..coz i myslef duno wht i was carrying on my eye...i juz managed them by answering that it was a burn..!!
hmmmmmmm..[:(]..really pathetic situation ...

initially i treated it with turmeric and sandal powder..during night i found it soothing and the size was reducing..but wen i got up..still i cud find the same old bump..
next my way was to doctor..!! i thought that this was my last effort coz ..i had confident in that lady..!! when asked what was it?? she replied-" itz similar to pimple..its a result of oil blocking in the eye lid..." !!!
i had few queries,,i asked the doctor whether it is an impact of mobile usage??? she told nope...
she gave a prescription of Two eye drops and a tablet..!!She also recommended that if these drops and tablets failed to reduce the bump..a treatment is to be carried on the eye.,, which was to pierce it with a needle....!!!

O M G,, i said a big BYE to her..i was scary about the treatment and had belief dat these medicines wud answer me..!!!
and i returned home with a package of some eye drops and few tablets..she told it to use it for a week...!!But this treatment dint convince me at all..I left it as such...coz i had my semester exams!! Later on..i tried 'google' as a tool to break my lid bump..i studied what i was carrying in my eye...

I found these..

The name of the bump that i carried was a chalazion. It is similar to STYE..A chalazion is a cyst in the eye lid that is caused by inflammation of a blocked meibomian gland usually on the upper lid.Chalazions are painless and larger than styes. They eventually vanish within few months..r in the worst case..an year!!

so with this knowledge i juz proceeded on how to cure it...

Frns..i found these solutions but tried nly a few...

List of remedies:::

1>Hot Water Compressions--

**Take a bowl full of hot water[very hot..depends on upto how much u can bare the heat]..

**Next take a clean towel sorta thing,, be sure that it doesnt hold any strains..(recommended: New towel).

**Dip it in the bowl and then squeeze to remove off the excess water in the towel..let it be a damp one!!

**Take over the towel near your eye that has the chalazion,,

**Close ur eyes,,place the towel on ur eye! Gently press it over..vry vry vry gently..dnt fight with ur eyes and dont press it!!

**Stay the same for around five to ten minutes..

**take off the towel from the eye and repeat it for a couple of times..

its advisable to follow compression method atleast for four times per day to see more effective results.

2>Tea bag method

** Similar to compression method..but instead of a cloth all dat u need is a tea bag..dip the tea bag in hot water and place it over ur eyes.

note: you may have doubt y specially a tea bag??

its because the tannic acid in the tea is used to kill the bacteria that was responsible for the oil gland to be blocked.

3>Rubbing the affected area with gold ring.

4>repeatedly washing your eyes with any anti bacterial shampoo..

recommended: Johnson's baby shampoo..

5>if the above methods fails to cure your problem then it is advised to take up the treatment.But beleive me frns it is painful.

Hmm outa these above methods i tried hot water compression, rubbing with gold ring but din work for my case!!

i switched my trial over tea bag method and found convincing results.The size was gradually reduced .

Im note sure of the remaining methods ...
